Healthy Caprese Salad

This recipe is not only incredibly easy to make but, it’s a perfect healthy snack. I love making a few of these as a snack or a whole tray full as an appetizer. 

It’s also a perfect appetizer to bring to a party! And did I mention you can put this whole tray together in under 15 minutes?!

Healthy Caprese Salad

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

Yield: 10 servings

Serving Size: 2 slices


  • 3-4 red tomatoes, sliced ¼ inch thick
  • 1 pound of fresh mozzarella, sliced ¼ inch thick
  • 20-25 basil leaves
  • ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar
  • Freshly cracked pepper


  1. Spread out the sliced tomatoes on a serving tray
  2. Place one leaf of basil on top of each tomato
  3. Then place one slice of mozzarella on top of each tomato with basil
  4. Grind some fresh cracked pepper on top of the slices
  5. Lastly, drizzle the balsamic on top of the slices
