Jesus heals us all! Through growing in a relationship with Christ we can become an imitation of His endless love and mercy. This short verse from Matthew and reflection reminds us that Christ is our healer. He uses His infinite love to strengthen us, so we can go about bringing others to Christ. This reflection calls us to grow close to our savior and bring others to Him as well.
Matthew 15: 29-31
“(29) And Jesus went on from there and passed along the Sea of Galilee. And he went up into the hills, and sat down there. (30) And great crowds came to him, bringing with them the lame, the maimed, the blind, the dumb, and many others, and they put them at his feet, and he healed them, (31) so that the throng wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.”
Before reading the reflection, pause for a moment to center your heart and mind. Ask God to guide you through this prayer.
Jesus Heals Us!
Jesus makes the impossible possible. He healed multitudes of people that day. He used his powers given to him by God to heal the mute, lame, blind, and many others. So that when others saw the blind seeing, the mute talking, and the maimed whole they would glorify and give praise to God. Jesus healed these people do that their witness could bring others to Christ.
Likewise, Jesus heals us. Through prayer, the Eucharist, and the sacraments Jesus means our hearts. When we pray we grow closer to God and He helps heal our brokenness, so we can then go forth and bring others closer to God. Spend time with Jesus and ask him to strengthen and guide you so that you can be a light of Christ to others.
